    GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB

    The Accounts Receivable Coordinator is responsible for all Accounts Receivable related transactions, reporting, and filing including credit card transactions at the corporate office. This position is also responsible for bank exceptions, transfers, returned checks, deposits, and recording transactions.

    The Coordinator serves as a champion and model of GID’s values – “FACE IT” which incorporates fun, accountability, collaboration, empowerment, innovation and transparency in all that we do. Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accounts Receivable Coordinator completes the following duties:

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Accurately prepares regular transfers via Automatic Clearing House (ACH) through appropriate banking websites(s) or software.
    • With guidance and/or approval from the Accounting Manager, makes cash payouts from the Accounting Department petty cash fund.
    • Accurately records and reviews daily bank account transactions for retail stores, ecommerce, donations, and corporate offices.
    • Archives and maintains accurate records for audit purposes.
    • Monitors and report on bank exceptions, as needed.
    • Accurately prepares and mails all invoices for sales, program billing, events, etc.
    • Accurately posts all daily cash receipts for accounts receivable, donations, or operations and makes daily bank deposits, as needed.
    • Accurately prepares and processes journal entries, as directed if needed.
    • Runs, reconciles, and distributes month end accounts receivable reports in a timely manner or as needed.
    • Safeguards and controls confidential and high restricted information.
    • Orders office supplies and performs clerical/administrative duties for the division, as needed.
    • Attends all team and organization meetings as it relates to the position.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

    High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and minimum one (1) year related experience and/or training.

    Must have functional and technical skills to perform the duties and responsibilities.

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills and moderate level of MS Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Proficiency in Internet and general database concepts is preferred.

                   

    CERTIFICATES and LICENSES

    Ability to pass a criminal background search and E-verify.

    Employee will spend a majority of time working in a general office environment where the noise level is usually moderate. However, employee may travel to meetings and Goodwill event locations where environmental conditions may vary. Employee must also be prepared to work with frequent interruptions due to high volume of Accounts Receivable related inquires.

    The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and taste or smell.
