    This is a temporary, part time position.



    The Program Assistant is responsible for supporting staff, managers and programs by fulfilling research requests, planning and executing events, fulfilling administrative requests. Updating and maintaining records and completing a variety of special projects.


    Service provided by the Program Assistant includes but is not limited to answering calls, resolving issues, providing exceptional customer service, and prioritizing issues. This position is responsible for responding to stakeholders in a professional, friendly and timely manner as requested, building strong relationships with stakeholders by projecting a positive attitude, showing sincere concern, providing helpful support and making the stakeholder the priority.


    This position provides general WFD support and will perform the following duties personally:



    • Provides administrative support to Workforce Development function areas including, but not limited to Community Employment & Day Programs and Youth Career Development Services.
    • Cleans and analyzes participant data and prepare tables, graphs, fact sheets, and written reports summarizing research results to
    • Provides assistance with the preparation of project-related reports, manuscripts, and
    • Coordinates events, such as facilities, catering, signage, displays, special needs requirements, printing and event security.
    • Monitors event activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, satisfaction of stakeholders, and resolution of any problems that
    • Monitors and maintains facility, equipment and databases to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained. Performs general office duties, including but not limited to ordering program and office
    • Corresponds with staff and participants to communicate
    • Maintains a high degree of customer service for all queries and adhere to all Service level agreement (SLA)
    • Assumes ownership of stakeholder requests and follows up with the status of these requests communicating progress in a timely and professional
    • Participates in special projects, as
    • Liaisons with other departments or functions as needed.
    • Follows all Goodwill policies and procedures. Follows and enforces safety rules and regulations. Acts safely at all times.
    • Supports the best elements of our corporate culture while making culture change. Open to and supportive of new ideas and process improvement of systems and procedures.
    • Works flexible schedules, overtime, weekends, evenings and holidays if required.
    • Performs any other duties as required or assigned.

    High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Minimum three years of working in an office or researching is required. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.



    Employee is responsible for directing department funds in accordance with organizational policy and approved budget standards. Any technology or Goodwill property used in the normal course of employment will be under the safekeeping and the responsibility of the employee to maintain in good working order.


    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret relevant literature, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as arithmetic, algebra, statistics, and their applications. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to manage appropriate budgeting practices.


    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


    To perform this job successfully the individual must demonstrate technical competencies associated with program support and implementation. The individual should have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office, answering phones and using a copier.


    Ability to pass pre-employment drug test, criminal background check and E-Verify. Must have a clear Colorado driver’s license and be able to drive on Goodwill business, if necessary.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee will work a majority of the time in a general office environment. However, as business needs dictate, employee will travel to Goodwill Retail and Operations locations where environmental conditions may vary. Employee may travel up to 10% of the time.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to taste or smell.
